The new Dashboard provides a clearer view of progress towards the delivery of 10 000 new homes, with improved visibility of projects at each stage of delivery. With a new design and improved reporting, users can more easily see what homes have been completed, what is under construction, and what is progressing through earlier stages of the pipeline.

A key improvement is clearer reporting across two distinct pipelines. The construction pipeline shows how homes move through planning, build and completion stages, while the land pipeline reflects subdivision activity and lots prepared for future development. This provides a more accurate picture of how housing delivery progresses over time.

The refreshed platform brings together more consistent and detailed information about housing delivery, presented in a way that is easier to interpret and navigate.

The new Dashboard also updates the types of homes that count towards the 10 000-home target, with only new homes and land that provides a new home counted, including newly constructed homes supported through the First Home Owner Grant, recognising the important role these homes play in increasing Tasmania’s housing supply.

It includes data on Homes Tasmania programs that increase access to safe and affordable housing and which are in addition to the 10 000 homes target, such as affordable private rentals and crisis accommodation.

This release represents the first stage of a broader program of enhancements to the Housing Dashboard, beginning with improved visibility of the housing delivery pipeline. Further updates will expand the dashboard to include additional insights, including information from the Housing Register to provide a clearer view of housing demand across Tasmania.

During this transition, any data not yet incorporated into the Dashboard will continue to be made available through supplementary reporting.

Homes Tasmania will continue to work with stakeholders and users to refine the Dashboard over time.
