The new northern panel follows the successful implementation of a maintenance contractor panel in the South on 1 July this year, which is already showing benefits for tenants and industry.

The new panel will support a more streamlined, consistent and timely approach to maintaining Homes Tasmania-managed properties across the North of the state and will create more opportunities for local contractors, improve service quality, and help grow capacity and jobs across the sector.

General and specialist maintenance services, tradespeople and subcontractors are encouraged to apply to be part of the two-tiered panel:

• Tier 1 contractors will provide multi-trade or specialist maintenance services, such as vacant property maintenance works between tenancies and occupational therapist requests
• Tier 2 contractors will provide single trade-specific services, such as painting, fencing, flooring, cleaning, plumbing, electrical and carpentry.

Prospective tenderers can view the tender documents on the Tasmanian Government’s tenders website, www.tenders.tas.gov.au. Tenders close at 2 pm on Wednesday, 11 February 2026.
