Homes Tasmania has been tasked with delivering 10 000 homes by 30 June 2032.
To meet this target, Homes Tasmania maintains a pipeline of works and is continually identifying new projects to contribute to the pipeline.
We progress the design and approval of housing developments and new land releases as early as possible so that construction can start as soon as funding is approved. Homes Tasmania is committed to keeping local communities informed of social and affordable housing developments being planned in their area and providing community and stakeholder engagement opportunities for large multi-unit developments. Projects in the South
Homes Tasmania acquired this site from the Department of Defence and has plans to deliver up to 75 social and affordable rental homes. Read more about the Cambridge Road project.
This project proposes to deliver up to an additional 50 social and affordable rental homes on this site, which is owned by Homes Tasmania. Read more about the Binalong Road project.
Projects in the North
This project proposes to demolish the current standalone dwelling and deliver six social homes on the site.
This project proposes to deliver 10 social homes in an infill development. Read more about the Ellison Street project.
Projects in the North-West
This project will deliver 18 two-bedroom social and affordable rental units. Read more about the Atkins Drive project.
This project will deliver a mixed-tenure development including 24 social and 18 affordable rental homes with some additional lots to be made available for private sale, including with home ownership assistance through MyHome.
