Homes Tasmania wants to develop land it owns at 102-106 Lilydale Road for residential development.
Just 15 minutes from the CBD, the proposed residential development will help grow a vibrant community with more businesses, services and job opportunities. It will double the size of Rocherlea over the next 10 or more years.
Homes Tasmania intends to apply to rezone the land under the Housing Land Supply Act 2018.
Draft master plan 2026
Homes Tasmania has prepared a draft master plan to support the rezoning of the land.
The draft master plan proposes around 400 residential lots for the 40 ha site, with a range of lot sizes for different household sizes and budgets.
It also includes public open space, shared paths, tree-lined streets and infrastructure upgrades, promoting active, healthy living and strong connection between the existing and proposed parts of Rocherlea.
Subject to approvals, the development would be delivered in four stages.
