SDA management options

Homes Tasmania is committed to ensuring Tasmanians with disability have access to quality, affordable and appropriate housing.

We are inviting organisations to participate in a non-binding Request for Information (RFI) to inform the management of our specialist disability accommodation (SDA) portfolio.

Organisations with a commitment to supporting people with a disability are invited to respond to the RFI, including to express their interest in the management of all or part of our SDA portfolio

Exploring SDA management options will help improve the housing that is available for people with a disability and enrol SDA properties in the NDIS.

Enrolling our SDA portfolio with the NDIS will also help Tasmania access available NDIS funding.

Current residents of Homes Tasmania’s SDA properties are assured that their tenancy arrangements will remain in place, with rents and lease arrangements to remain unchanged. Residents’ support providers will not change unless the resident wants them to.

Homes Tasmania will keep residents, their family and carers, and disability service providers up to date with this work as it progresses.

The RFI will be open from Saturday, 15 November 2025 until 12 pm, Sunday, 14 December 2025.

Subject to the outcomes of the RFI, Homes Tasmania intends to release a Request for Tender to select providers to manage the manage the SDA portfolio in the first half of 2026.
