A new subdivision planned for Brighton will deliver around 100 new lots of land.
Homes Tasmania is committed to increasing social and affordable housing and releasing land for residential development.
Construction of the subdivision is expected to begin in late 2025 with the first lots available for sale in early 2027.
Around 85 per cent of the lots will be sold privately, with home ownership assistance available to eligible buyers through the MyHome shared equity program. The remaining lots will be developed for social and affordable rental housing opportunities.
MyHome helps eligible Tasmanians buy their own homes by reducing the upfront costs and the ongoing mortgage repayments.
Location
The proposed subdivision is at 33 Elderslie Road, Brighton. The 10.7 ha site was purchased by Homes Tasmania in late 2022.
