These policies outline the principles for providing crisis and transitional accommodation in Tasmania. Crisis accommodation delivers short-term accommodation and support (up to two years) for people facing homelessness.
Crisis accommodation policy
This policy provides the principles for operating crisis accommodation services in Tasmania, including:
- minimum standards of accommodation services
- establishing the expectations between the service provider and the people seeking assistance
- appropriate delivery of support to people using the services, including support available to help people find a stable home.

This policy provides the principles for operating a Youth at Risk Centre in Tasmania, including:
- mandatory reporting requirements
- the minimum standards of accommodation services
- the appropriate delivery of support to young people using the service.
