Social housing
This policy provides the principles for providing secure, affordable and appropriate social housing in Tasmania, including:
- determining an applicant’s priority on the Housing Register
- allocation of social housing properties
- tenancy and property management obligations.

This policy provides the directions for the delivery of Aboriginal housing by social housing providers in Tasmania, including:
- assessing an applicant’s eligibility and level of need
- allocation of properties
- tenancy and property management obligations.

Backyard units
This policy provides the principles for using backyard units to achieve good housing outcomes for tenants of social housing providers in Tasmania, including:
- determining a tenant household’s eligibility
- assessing a home’s suitability for a backyard unit
- installation and removal of a backyard unit.

Long-term supported accommodation for adults
This policy provides the principles for operating long-term supported accommodation services in Tasmania for adults with low to moderate living skills, including:
- referrals and eligibility for accommodation
- the minimum standards of accommodation services
- the appropriate delivery of support to people using the services.

Youth2Independence supported accommodation
This policy provides the principles for operating Youth2Independence accommodation in Tasmania, including:
- assessing a young person’s eligibility and readiness to enter the program
- the minimum standards of accommodation services
