Adult supported accommodation – 18+
There are adult supported accommodation facilities located across Tasmania.
These facilities provide different types of accommodation.
Some provide independent units for residents with your own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area.
Others provide your own bedroom and ensuite and access to a range of common areas, such as gardens, games and lounge rooms, and quiet areas.
Some sites have staff available 24 hours a day and an option to provide meals, a weekly linen service and some recreational activities. Others provide onsite support during business hours with residents responsible for their own meals and laundry.
To be eligible for this accommodation, you must want to engage in support that builds your capabilities and be able to live alongside other people.
Adult supported accommodation – 50+
Supported accommodation for people aged 50 and over recognises that your needs change as you get older.
This accommodation provides a safe, flexible and caring family-style environment that allows you to maintain your chosen lifestyle, hobbies and activities, and be as independent as you would like.
You will have access to onsite support offering a range of services to suit your needs, including the option of meal and laundry services.
Self-contained units or bedsits are available, and units have a private bathroom with shower, vanity and toilet, and a kitchen.
