Fact sheet - About Housing Connect

Housing Connect

Housing Connect is Tasmania’s front door for housing assistance, including homelessness accommodation and support, social housing, and affordable private rentals.

How Housing Connect can help

Housing Connect helps people who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness.

It provides one assessment for everything from crisis accommodation to a long-term home.

Housing Connect is provided statewide by Anglicare Tasmania.

A Housing Connect assessment will identify and prioritise your housing need, provide information about your housing options, and refer eligible Tasmanians to appropriate housing assistance and services, including:

  • affordable private rentals
  • social housing
  • supported accommodation
  • crisis and transitional accommodation
  • brokerage and material assistance
  • after-hours assistance
  • housing support
  • referral to other support services.

For more information about the range of help available through Housing Connect, see our Frequently Asked Questions page.

If you are a housing, homelessness or support service provider, find out more on our Information for Partners page.
